MIFGS Styling Kitchen

As modern gardeners we find solace in what lies between the hard edges. We find comfort in the green fronds and tendrils that caress and soften the modern world we live in. The experiences of our recent past, coupled with our developing city, have inspired us to reconnect our inner selves to nature. The world over has nurtured indoor greenery - immersing ourselves in experimenting with plants and planters to restore our minds whilst celebrating our inner plant personalities.

We welcome you to your greener home.

Overview

In our modern lives, the kitchen serves more than a space for cooking. As we bond with our families and friends, the heart of our home makes for an important moment. Our lives revolve around this central point as a gathering space so why not turn a traditionally utilitarian room into a verdant statement.

Suggested Plants

  • Mistletoe cactus (Rhipsalis) – Perfect for softening shelf edges.
  • Macho fern (Nephrolepis biserrata) – This tender touch can add impact instantly.
  • Begonia – With an array of interesting foliage Begonia’s add intricacy to any benchtop.

Styling Tips

  • Earthy planter colours can anchor your plants and align them to your interior palette.
  • To prevent your space from feeling chaotic, weave in some neutrally toned planters to simply add texture and support your hero pieces.
  • Give your plants some breathing space. A healthy void between plants can give your clusters hierarchy.
