PARK tray in Clay
The defining feature of Echizen lacquerware lies in its unique “Awai”—a subtle space that exists between industrial production and craftsmanship, and another “Awai” that emerges in the way a utensil can embrace multiple uses. The product “PARK” was designed around these two concepts of “Awai.”
Its half-pipe form is inspired by the gentle partitions often seen in lacquerware serving dishes and plates. At the dining table, it can serve as a tray, bowl, or plate. On your desk, it neatly gathers scattered stationery or eyeglasses. Placed on an entryway shelf, it becomes the perfect spot for keys and accessories. While there are standard ways to use it, “PARK” is also meant to inspire creative arrangements that naturally arise from everyday life.
