Moroccan Mint Tea by Gewürzhaus
Synonymous with the vibrant heat and colours of North Africa, and integral to social life in Maghreb countries, Mint Tea is the perfect refresher. The serving of this tea often takes a ceremonial form, especially when prepared for a guest. As an offer of hospitality, the head of the household prepares and serves usually at least 3 glasses of heavily sweetened tea, and it is impolite to refuse! Consumed socially at tea bars and at home any time of the day, the tea leaves you with a sensation of coldness in the mouth. Brew one heaped teaspoon per cup of our Moroccan Mint Tea at 80 degrees for 4-5 minutes and sweeten with sugar or honey as desired. Can also be chilled and livened with fresh mint for a delicious summer beverage.
