Hourglass reclaimed cork stool by Big Daisy

Hourglass is the perfect side table, stool or plant stand.

A classic, simple form. This shape is a classic, perfect in any space or for any purpose! Great to pop a cuppa on, but strong enough to hold a pot plant. 

This stool is solid allowing it to hold a fair amount of weight. 

Cork is harvested from cork trees, however, the tree is not cut down in the process. The bark is carefully removed from the trunk, a process which can be repeated every 8-9 years.

Made from cork sourced from Portugal. Once received they boil the cork to remove any nasties, after which the cork is cut into a variety of shapes to be used as cork stoppers. The offcuts from this cork are then granulated and repurposed into other products like this stool.
